It's a Star!

Friday was my students’ last day of school. As a teacher, my last day is Wednesday, June 3rd. I’m looking forward to catching up on life, especially on my own writing. One of my editors is patiently waiting. I received the perfect plant from one of my little girls. As you know, I’m not good with plants. This one doesn’t need any attention from me, hehe.

Since I’m talking about school, I love giving out smiley and star stickers on my students’ best work. So to receive a star for one of my own books is very meaningful. And to receive a starred review from Kirkus is very significant. A blog post from The Mixed-Up Files explains what I mean. Thank you, Kirkus!! Among other news, I saw the final cover for God’s Little Zoologist, and it is amazing and bright! I can’t wait to share it with you when I have permission. It publishes in 2027.
